"Quizás, Quizás, Quizás" (also known as "Perhaps, Perhaps, Perhaps" in English), is a popular song by Cuban songwriter Osvaldo Farrés.^[1] Farrés wrote the music and original Spanish lyrics for the song which became a hit in 1947. Farrés also received much help and inspiration for his lyrics from Cuban First Lady, Mary Tarrero-Serrano. The English lyrics were written by Joe Davis and are not a translation of the Spanish lyrics.

• 1949: The Gordon Jenkins version, with Tony Bavaar as vocalist, was recorded on August 12, 1949 and released by Decca Records as catalog number 24720.
• 1950: The Greek singer Mairi Lo (Μαίρη Λω) recorded a version titled "Γιατί γιατί γιατί" (why why why) in lyrics by Paul Menestrél in 1950.
• 1955: Caterina Valente & Peter Alexander as Eventuell.
• 1958: Nat King Cole regularly performed the song with a heavy American accent. His version appeared on his 1958 album Cole Español and frequently appeared in the 2000 film In the Mood for Love.
• 1958: The Algerian Abdelhakim Garami wrote the Arabic lyrics "Chehilet laayani" inspired by the music of "Quizas quizas".
• 1959: Finnish singer Olavi Virta recorded this song in Spanish.
• 1960: The Ames Brothers with orchestra under the direction of Juan Esquivel recorded this song on the album Hello Amigos, per iTunes.
• 1960s: The Jamaican ska musician Prince Buster recorded the song in the 1960s as "Rude, Rude, Rudee".
• 1961: Brazilian singer Maysa recorded this song in the original Spanish on her 1961 album "Maysa, Amor... e Maysa" (RGE XRLP 5121)
• 1964: The Doris Day version was recorded on November 5, 1964 for Columbia Records and not released as a single, but only on albums (see Latin for Lovers). It was featured in the Australian film Strictly Ballroom in 1992.
• 1964: The Trini Lopez version was recorded for Reprise Records and also not released as a single; from the album entitled The Latin Album released as "RS 6125".
• 1965: Celia Cruz originally recorded a version of the song; later re-released on the 1994 greatest-hits album Irrepetible.
• 1965: The Skatalites recorded "Perhaps" on Blue Beat in 1965 for the Latin American Music Company, similar to Prince Buster's "Rude, Rude, Rudee" version of the song.
• 1968: Gigliola Cinquetti and Los Panchos recorded this song on their album Gigliola Cinquetti y el trio Los Panchos en Mexico.
• 1969: Paco de Lucia recorded an instrumental flamenco version on the album Hispanoamérica.
• 1973: Rigo Tovar version was recorded for Fonovisa Records and released on his album Cómo será la mujer.^[2]
• 1982: Dennis Brown released a version titled "Perhaps" on his album Stage Coach Showcase.^[3]
• 1987: Finnish singer Tapani Kansa sung the song in Finnish under the name "Kenties, Kenties"
• 1996: The alternative rock band Cake released "Perhaps, Perhaps, Perhaps" on their album Fashion Nugget.
• 1998: British singer Samantha Fox recorded a cover of "Perhaps, Perhaps, Perhaps" for her 21st Century Fox album, but she titled the song simply "Perhaps". It was then released as a single.
• 1998: Cuarteto Patria, with Manu Dibango, included a version on their album CubAfrica.
• 2000: British singer Geri Halliwell released "Perhaps, Perhaps, Perhaps" as a B-side to her single "Bag It Up".
• 2000: English singer Mari Wilson covered the song, and was later featured as the theme song to Coupling.
• 2003: Chilean DJ and producer Ricardo Villalobos sampled the main lyrics for the track "Quizás" on his 2003 album Alcachofa.
• 2004: Laurel Aitken on his album En Español.
• 2004: Las Rubias del Norte on their album Rumba Internationale.
• 2004: Arielle Dombasle and Julio Iglesias on the former's album Amor Amor.
• 2006: British singer Emma Bunton included "Perhaps, Perhaps, Perhaps" on the special edition on her CD Life in Mono.
• 2007: The ska band Eastern Standard Time of Washington, D.C. covered "Perhaps, Perhaps, Perhaps" on their CD Time is Tight.
• 2007: A cover of "Quizás, quizás, quizás" figured in the tracklist of Mi Sueño, the posthumous Ibrahim Ferrer's CD, released under World Circuit Records by Buena Vista Social Club. The cover was performed by Ibrahim Ferrer featuring the Cuban singer Omara Portuondo.
• 2008: The Pussycat Dolls included "Perhaps, Perhaps, Perhaps" as a bonus track on the CD 2 of the Deluxe edition of their CD Doll Domination.
• 2008: Buena Vista Social Club released a live version on their album Buena Vista Social Club at Carnegie Hall.
• 2008: Nu Virgos released a Russian version - "Mechtay, mechtay, mechtay".
• 2009: Kind Rummel released "Perhaps, Perhaps, Perhaps" featuring Sincronette.
• 2009: Lebanese duetRami Ayach & Abir Neema
• 2010, Australian singer Melinda Schneider recorded the song for her Doris Day tribute album "Melinda Does Doris". Schneider had previously performed the song live as a duet with David Campbell.
• 2010: Rula Zaki, an Egyptian singer, released an Arabic version, "Ahwak Ahwak Ahwak", on her album Zikrayaty.
• 2012: Pink Martini, live in Athens, for their 2012 tour, cover of the Spanish version Quizas, quizas, quizas
• 2013: Jennifer Lopez recorded the spanish version "Quizas, Quizas, Quizas" as a duet with Andrea Bocelli for his album Passione. This new version is produced by Grammy winner David Foster.^[4]
• 2013: Andrea Bocelli covered the Spanish version of the song during the Sanremo's Festival (Italian Music Festival), after a cover of Love me Tender.
• Others to have recorded the song include Sir Cliff Richard, Gordon Jenkins, Gaby Moreno, Desi Arnaz, Omara Portuondo, Sonora Matancera, Xavier Cugat, Mantovani, The Stargazers, Pepe Jaramillo, Lila Downs, and Henri Salvador (in French). The Turkish ska band Athena also did a cover entitled "Senden, benden, bizden".
• 2013: Russian showmen, musician and singer Alexander Pushnoy recorded his version of the song as a first test of his new guitar.

• 1963: Teresa, the main character in the movie Noches de Casablanca, played by Sara Montiel, performed the song in the original Spanish.
• 1992: A scene in the Australian film Strictly Ballroom featured the Doris Day version.

• 1999: A live performance of the song at Carnegie Hall was included on the film soundtrack for Buena Vista Social Club (but not on the album of the same name).
• 2000: The Nat King Cole version was used in the Wong Kar-wai film In the Mood for Love.
• 2001: The English version of the song was featured in the Tortilla Soup.
• 2001: The Geri Halliwell cover features in the film America's Sweethearts.
• 2001: Cake's cover of the song appears at the beginning of the Mexican film El Segundo Aire.

• 2006: In season 2 of the ABC show Dancing With The Stars, the song was sung live during a dance routine featuring George Hamilton and his partner Edyta Sliwinska.
• 2007: Doris Day's version was used by Faina Savich, partnered by her brother Stanislav Savich, to dance a rumba during her audition for So You Think You Can Dance.
• 2007: Cake's cover of the song was used as the opening song for the Channel 10 drama series HaMakom.
• 2008: The English version was used in the first months of 2008 in an advertisement for the show Californication on Spanish Fox TV.
• 2008: The Russian version was used in Channel One Russia's New Year TV musical, and was sung by Nu Virgos.
• 2009: The song was featured in the TV series Eastwick in episode 6 of season 1.
• 2011: The song was featured in the TV series Off The Map in episode 8 of season 1, and was sung by Guatemalan singer Gaby Moreno.
• 2011: The song was featured in the TV series Secret Diary of a Call Girl in episode 2 of season 4.
• 2011: In season 12 of the ABC TV show Dancing with the Stars, Hines Ward & Kym Johnson danced an Argentine Tango to this song.
• 2012: Versions of the song are heard in non-speaking segments in every episode of the Greek series To Amartima tis Mitros mou.
